Xinyue Zhang
Incoming Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oulu
I will soon join Prof. Janne Heikkilä’s group at the University of Oulu as a postdoctoral researcher. Supported by ELLIS Finland, I will work under the joint mentorship of Prof. Heikkilä, Prof. Viktor Larsson, and Prof. Juho Kannala, focusing on feed-forward 3D reconstruction and related problems in 3D vision.
This summer, I completed my PhD in Computer Science at ShanghaiTech University, advised by Prof. Laurent Kneip. My doctoral research centered on geometric computer vision, particularly minimal solvers and optimization, with publications in IEEE TPAMI, CVPR, ICCV, IJCV, and ICRA.
With Laurent’s support, I also visited ETH Zürich, where I worked with Dr. Dániel Baráth on feed-forward 3D reconstruction, and Lund University, where I collaborated with Prof. Viktor Larsson on visual localization with fisheye cameras.
